Privacy policy

SegoCal is a calendar aggregator, currently in an invite-only beta. It reads the calendars you connect and shows them in one view. This policy describes what it accesses, where that data goes, and how to revoke it.

What SegoCal accesses

Only what you explicitly connect:

• Google Calendar - access to your calendar list and the events on them, through Google's official API, after you grant it when connecting the account. SegoCal writes to Google Calendar only when you ask it to: changing your RSVP to an event, or creating an event.
• Microsoft/Outlook calendars - read access, and write access limited to creating an event when you ask for one.
• ICS and webcal feeds - public or unlisted subscription URLs you paste in. These need no sign-in and are read-only by nature.

SegoCal does not request access to your email, files, contacts, or any other part of your account.

What it stores, and where

Event details - title, times, location, description, attendees, and the calendar an event came from - are stored in SegoCal's database. Access tokens for the calendars you connect are stored in the same database, encrypted.

For your SegoCal account itself, SegoCal stores your email address, the public half of your passkey, and a sign-in session. A passkey's private key never leaves your device or password manager, and there is no password to store.

SegoCal runs on servers rented from Fly.io, in the United States, on an encrypted disk. Fly.io provides the hosting and has no other role. Each account sees only the calendars it connected.

What it does not do

• No selling or sharing of your data. Not with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
• No advertising, and no use of your calendar data to build a profile or train any model.
• No analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts.
• No transmission of calendar data anywhere except between SegoCal and the calendar providers you connected.

Google user data

SegoCal's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data is used solely to display your calendar inside SegoCal. It is not transferred to anyone else, not used for advertising, and not used to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. No human reads it except you.

Revoking access and deleting data

You can disconnect SegoCal from your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. For Microsoft, use your account's app permissions page. Revoking access stops all further syncing immediately.

To delete your SegoCal account and everything stored for it, email the address below. Your account, its calendars, their events, and their stored tokens are deleted. Hosting backups expire within five days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
