SegoCal is a self-hosted personal calendar aggregator. It reads the calendars you connect and shows them in one view. This policy describes what it accesses, where that data goes, and how to revoke it.

What SegoCal accesses

Only what you explicitly connect:

• Google Calendar - read-only access to your calendar list and the events on them, through Google's official API, after you grant it during sign-in.
• Microsoft/Outlook calendars - read access, and write access limited to creating an event when you ask for one.
• ICS and webcal feeds - public or unlisted subscription URLs you paste in. These need no sign-in and are read-only by nature.

SegoCal does not request access to your email, files, contacts, or any other part of your account.

What it stores, and where

Event details - title, times, location, description, attendees, and the calendar an event came from - are stored in a database file on the server you run SegoCal on. Access tokens for the calendars you connect are stored on that same machine.

SegoCal is self-hosted: that server belongs to the person running it. There is no central SegoCal service, no shared database, and no copy of your calendar held by anyone else.

What it does not do

• No selling or sharing of your data. Not with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
• No advertising, and no use of your calendar data to build a profile or train any model.
• No analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts.
• No transmission of calendar data anywhere except between your server and the calendar providers you connected.

Google user data

SegoCal's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data is used solely to display your calendar inside SegoCal. It is not transferred to anyone else, not used for advertising, and not used to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. No human reads it except you.

Revoking access and deleting data

You can disconnect SegoCal from your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. For Microsoft, use your account's app permissions page. Revoking access stops all further syncing immediately.

To delete what SegoCal has already stored, remove the calendar account in the app or delete the database file on your server. Because SegoCal is self-hosted, that deletion is entirely in the hands of whoever runs it - no request to a third party is needed.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
